The song was influneced from the father who died of cancer. I originally wrote the song in 2003 but recently re-recorded it. The perspective is that I am talking directly to him in the after life. Thinking about all the recent deaths of celebrities, we may not have known them personally, but someone did. We all feel somewhat connected to them just as we would to a family member or friend. So, the song is really a tribute to anyone that you may have idolized or loved in your life that you lost.
